Abstract

Our investigation, it identifies the characteristics of the pregnant women that were attended in the Mother Institute Perinatal of the city of Lima, as well as the factors that explain the birth of his babies, by low weight. The statistical multivaried methods used in this work were Multiple Correspondences and Logistic Regression. We work with 915 mothers who were attended in the Mother Institute Perinatal of the city of Lima, in the year 2002; being observed an incident of low weight in newborn children of 18,4 %.
